Story & Lore
WEFA's narrative is not flavor text — it constrains UX tone, progression beats, and collectible design. The story justifies the mechanical loop and emotionally grounds the player's journey.
World Premise
The world of WEFA exists at the intersection of nature and the digital. Four elemental forces — Water, Earth, Fire, and Air — sustain balance between the physical and digital realms. Players are stewards who restore this balance through care, growth, and play.
The Elements
Water
Philosophy: Adaptability, flow, healing
Water creatures are fluid and restorative. They excel at defense and recovery, turning adversity into advantage.
Earth
Philosophy: Stability, growth, endurance
Earth creatures are grounded and resilient. They absorb damage and outlast opponents through sheer vitality.
Fire
Philosophy: Passion, transformation, energy
Fire creatures burn bright and hit hard. They reward aggressive play and decisive action.
Air
Philosophy: Freedom, speed, exploration
Air creatures are swift and elusive. They strike first and value mobility over raw power.
Story Progression
The Massiah
The 9 base creatures (Massiah) are the canonical starter creatures of WEFA. Each is tied to an element and has a distinct anatomy, personality, and evolution arc.
See the Creatures section for individual profiles.
Canon and UGC
V1 canon establishes:
- The four elements and their philosophies
- The 9 Massiah and their lore
- The stewardship-as-play narrative ("your care restores balance")
- Onboarding copy and tone
Future canon expands through UGC canonization — community-created creature packs, shrine challenges, and game variants that are promoted into official world content through transparent, proof-based rules.
